Visible dye penetrant
Portable, high-contrast examination for field and fabrication applications.

Surface flaw detection
Liquid penetrant testing is a sensitive, portable NDT method used to reveal surface-breaking discontinuities in clean, nonporous materials.
Inspection done right
NVI performs visible dye and fluorescent penetrant examinations using procedures selected for the material, surface condition, environment, and acceptance criteria.
After surface preparation, penetrant is applied and allowed to enter open discontinuities. Excess penetrant is removed and developer draws indications to the surface for evaluation and documentation by trained technicians.
Capabilities
Portable, high-contrast examination for field and fabrication applications.
Enhanced sensitivity under controlled ultraviolet lighting where the procedure requires it.
Detection of surface-connected cracks, porosity, laps, seams, and other relevant indications.
Surface inspection of nonporous components before service or during maintenance.
Focused examination after grinding, excavation, welding, or other repair activity.
Documented examination conditions, indication locations, results, and acceptance status.
Applications
Quality and compliance
NVI develops each inspection scope around the asset, operating conditions, applicable code, and client procedure. Certified technicians provide timely field communication and clear reporting so owners can make informed maintenance decisions.
