The Importance of Storage Tank Inspections

July 12th, 2022|

Aboveground storage tanks are vital to a facility's supply chain and are designed to withstand the elements, but left unchecked tanks leak. These leaks can occur due to a variety of factors - faulty equipment, corrosion, and UV degradation. This can lead to both environmental contamination and workplace injuries.  A leaking tank may lead to aesthetic complaints, costly repairs, shut-downs, or tank failure. Proper design, installation, maintenance, and inspection are critical to the success of facilities.  Our highly specialized inspection teams are certified by American Petroleum Institute (API-653) & Steel Tank Institute (STI-SP001) and have over 20 years of experience in the power, refining, pulp and paper, chemical, and petrochemical industries. We provide our customers with ultra-quality aboveground storage tank inspections, data acquisition and analysis, corrosion prevention plans, and interval inspection plans to help prevent corrosion, leaking and failure issues, allowing continuous facility production and safety. We ensure all aboveground storage tanks remain in compliance with all applicable codes and offer Fitness for Service and Risk-Based Inspection analysis to further ensure the life of your storage tank.
